I watched The Mummy Returns starring Brendon Fraser (George Of The Jungle), John Hannah (Four Weddings And A Funeral), and Rachel Weisz (Oz The Great And Powerful).
In the sequel to The Mummy, the mummified body of Imhotep is shipped to a museum in London, where he once again wakes and begins his campaign of rage and terror.
I give this 4 out of 5 stars.
Fun Facts:
-The story is set in 1933, approximately 7 years after the events of the first film.
-Rachel Weisz and Patrica Velasquez trained for five months for their fight scene. They did the fight without any stunt women.
-Loosely translated, Dwayne Johnson's line "Haku Machente" means "It's hot as hell."
-This sequel was greenlit by Universal the morning after The Mummy opened in May 1999.
-Brendon Fraser suffered multiple injuries filming this movie. He tore a spinal disk, cracked a rib, and injured his knees during production.
-Freddie Boath was a big fan of The Mummy having seen it over 30 times. He passed on the opportunity to play a role in Harry Potter to participate in this movie, because The Mummy is his favorite movie. He knows so much about the movie that he even served as sort of a consultant of the first film for this film for the other crew and cast members. He knows every line and detail of the movie. When anyone on the set needed to know something about the first movie, they asked him. This was his first professional acting job.
